Western Wyoming Community College is now taking application for the Director of Academic Advising. This is a full-time, 12 mnth per yearposition. The Director of Academic Advising is responsible for oversight of the WWCC ACE-IT Center which includes academic advising, careercounseling, and employment, internships and transfer programs for Western Wyoming Community College. This is a critical position in thecampus structure because of the high-level of responsibility for student retention and completion. This person has significantresponsibilities for student engagement, advising, orientation, placement testing, and retention activities. This employee oversees anintrusive system of student educational planning and support. This person will coordinate the flow of accurate and detailed info tostudents and faculty advisors. Oversee the satisfactory academic progress program, and assists with college transfer and articulationefforts. This employee works closely with other members of the Student Success Services Team and the campus community to accomplishcomprehensive student engagement and completion goals. Some evening and weekend work and travel is required. A Master's degree froman accredited college or university in advising or an academic discipline which would support the advising function is required along with3 yrs of progressively more responsible work background in advising and/or student success programs.
